A devastating car crash occurred in Joliet, Illinois today, resulting in four injuries. The perpetrator has been indicted for driving under the influence and without a license.
As reported, Joliet resident Oscar Muniz Hernandez, 39, was headed north on North Broadway Street, having allegedly turned into a parking lot, collided with a Honda Accord, injuring four people, as per Fox 32 Chicago's report. Following the accident, Muniz Hernandez is facing charges of aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, aggravated DUI without a driver's license, and DUI. According to Patch, Muniz Hernandez, who doesn't hold a driver's license, was cited for driving too fast, improper turn, and no valid driver's license.
A 56-year-old female passenger in Muniz Hernandez's car was immediately transferred to the Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in critical condition. Similarly, the Honda Accord driver and his two passengers, aged 36 and 23, were brought to the same hospital for medical assistance, according to Fox 32 Chicago. Upon observing Muniz Hernandez's behavior, Joliet police officers determined possible alcohol impairment, he failed the field sobriety test given subsequent his arrest.
