The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office revealed earlier this week that Timothy Hladik, the 45-year-old Lakeville man involved in a police shooting, is to be held until a dangerousness hearing is conducted on October 12, 2023.
Hladik, who incurred injuries during the police encounter, is currently housed at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, where he received his formal accusation today, as reported by the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.
The particulars of the shooting are being meticulously investigated by the Massachusetts State Police and Lakeville Police. Hladik faces two counts of assault and battery using a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime, following his arrest.
The decision to detain Hladik without bail follows the Commonwealth's motion for a dangerousness hearing, as explained by the Plymouth County District Attorney.
