A 19-year-old from Manchester, Connecticut was wounded on Monday night after he intervened in a confrontation inside a local Dunkin' Donuts. He was stabbed multiple times in the head, neck, and back, but is reported by police to be in stable condition.
This altercation at Dunkin' Donuts began when an individual, thought to be homeless, was asked to leave the store. Reports from WTNH and NBC Connecticut suggest the 19-year-old tried separating a fight, however, the individual produced a knife, attacking the teenager before fleeing on foot.
Though the suspect initially managed to evade law enforcement, he was later identified and is now participating in the investigation, as mentioned in report by WTNH. No one has been arrested as of yet.
In a press release by Dunkin' Donuts, they assured full cooperation with local police in their investigation into the incident. They did not comment further, deferring all inquiries to the Manchester Police Department due to the active nature of the investigation.
