The first Topgolf location in Massachusetts is set to open in Canton on November 3rd, in what used to be a Cumberland Farms facility, according to CBS News. Offering a unique "sports entertainment" experience, Topgolf features 90 heated golf bays, game tracking technology, and a range of target-based golf games accessible to players of all levels.
Situated roughly 20 miles from Boston, this marks the 84th Topgolf location in the United States, as reported by Boston 25 News. Besides housing the heated hitting bays, the site also provides comfy lounge-style seating, high-top tables, and Toptracer technology. Topgolf Canton offers a variety of entertainment options such as a creative menu, selection of drinks, music, a rooftop terrace, an outdoor patio, and family-friendly entertainment.
As per a WCVB report, Topgolf Canton is expected to add around 400 jobs to the community and plans to honor half-price gameplay on Tuesdays. The property is built where an old Cumberland Farms manufacturing and distribution facility once stood, conveniently near Interstate 95. In a statement, Topgolf Chief Operating Officer Gen Gray expressed her delight about introducing Topgolf's unique style of play to the Boston area and emphasized the company's excitement about the new venue.
John J. Connolly, Vice Chair of the town of Canton, spoke enthusiastically about the open venue, seeing its economic benefit to the town, another Boston 25 News report noted. Connolly pointed out that when Topgolf organized a temporary event at Fenway Park, the event quickly sold out. As Topgolf expands across the United States, it continues providing entertaining experiences that combine sport and leisure for a broad range of audiences.
