On October 19th, an investigation by New Bedford detectives culminated in the arrest of repeat narcotics offender, Joe Chamberlain. According to City of New Bedford Police Department, the 36-year-old was operating a cocaine delivery business via his 1357 Pleasant St. apartment. A search warrant yielded 52 grams of crack cocaine, packaging materials, a digital scale, and over ten thousand dollars in cash. Chamberlain now faces charges of trafficking crack cocaine in excess of 36 grams.
Chamberlain's past involves prior narcotics-related convictions including possession with intent to distribute (class A) in 2016, and trafficking cocaine in 2019.
