
A 17-year-old New Hampshire resident, Eric Sweeney, has been charged for the murder of his sister-in-law and her two children, aged 1 and 4. Details from the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office note that Eric faces three counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Kassandra Sweeney, aged 25, and her children Benjamin and Mason, in their Northfield home on August 3, 2022. Furthermore, Eric has been indicted with an additional count for falsifying physical evidence.
Following the incident, the minor was arrested and held without bail as stated in NBC Boston report. Autopsy reports confirm that each victim died from a single gunshot according to WHDH report.
Sean Sweeney, Kassandra's husband, had raised alarm about a person in his home making ominous comments. According to Sean, this individual had discovered weapons in the garage and woods. Sean had reported his safety concerns to the police. These warnings were made apparent in redacted police documents released just 12 days prior to the murders as reported by Boston 25 News.
