Yesterday, Hubman Hunter, a 31-year-old Lynn, Massachusetts resident, was arrested by the Youth Violence Strike Force and other departments, putting an end to a manhunt orchestrated by the Boston Police Department (BPD). The arrest is linked to a shooting incident that occurred on August 26 at 10 Talbot Ave where eight people were shot.
The perpetrator, Hubman Hunter, currently faces multiple charges including eight counts of armed assault with intent to murder and carrying a firearm without a license. Further charges include possession of ammunition without an FID card and discharging of a firearm within 500 feet of a building, as reported on Boston.gov. The arraignment will take place at Dorchester District Court.
Prior to Hubman Hunter's arrest, the Boston PD issued a community alert warning that he was considered armed and extremely dangerous, as stated in a Hoodline article. The alert also included descriptors of Hunter, warnings to the public to not approach him, and encouraged any person with relevant information to contact District B-3 Detectives.
