Novato High School's Homecoming Parade will cause temporary road closures today. Grant Ave will be closed off between Machin Ave and Reichert Ave from 4:00 PM, as part of the parade route, according to the Novato Police Department.
There are, however, unconfirmed reports about potential intermittent closures on Railroad Ave to ensure the safety of parade participants. Affected roads will reopen after being cleared. Despite causing some inconvenience, these closures are designed to control traffic congestion.
The parade weaves through streets such as Machin Ave, Sweetser Ave, Reichert Ave, and Scown Ln. Traffic Sergeant Reza Pourfarhani of the Novato Police Department suggests the use of alternative routes and asks residents to account for possible delays. Pourfarhani emphasized the need for community cooperation during this time.
