Based on an October 13 report by the OPD, officers responded to an armed robbery and attempted carjacking on Prospect Avenue on October 7. Upon arrival, they located a vehicle matching the suspect's description on Trestle Glen Road, leading them to arrest one adult male and one juvenile. The suspects were connected to several other robbery investigations in Oakland, and a fake firearm and stolen goods were retrieved from them.
On the same day, OPD officers intervened in a robbery at a business on MacArthur Boulevard. Three individuals grabbed cash from a register and a few bottles of alcohol and fled in a blue Hyundai SUV. This vehicle matched the one in descriptions of recent robberies.
In response to such an incident on October 8, the OPD found the blue Hyundai when it was moving at high speed on 80th Avenue. In a brief chase, officers managed to stop the vehicle, which was discovered to be stolen and detained three suspects who were trying to escape on foot. Identified by victims, the male suspects were arrested, and found to be related to other robbery inquiries.
