Riverside County eagerly anticipates the ceremonial ribbon-cutting of the last phase of the Clinton Keith Road extension project on October 25, signifying the corridor's transformation.

Initiated in the mid-1990s, the extension project, in cooperation with the City of Murrieta, aimed to expand the road system to cater to the rising traffic demand, as mentioned on the project's official website. Over the last decade, various phases have extended Clinton Keith Road from I-215 to State Route 79. The upcoming ceremony will commemorate Phase 3's forthcoming completion.

Funded and executed through collective efforts, the Clinton Keith Road's expansion comprises multiple phases. Phase 1 completed in 2011, expanded the road from I-215 to Whitewood Road to six lanes with a raised median, Phase 2, completed in 2018, stretched the road from Whitewood Road to Trois Valley Street included four lanes, a median, two bridge structures, and traffic signals at Menifee Road and Trois Valley Street. Phase 4 aligned with Phase 2 and added six lanes from Whitewood Road to Leon Road. Completion of Phases 2 and 4 made Clinton Keith Road accessible from I-215 to SR 79 via Leon Road and Max Gillis Boulevard.

With Phase 3, the final one, in process, the extension of Clinton Keith Road from Leon Road to SR-79 is due soon. Completion of this project will provide six lanes from I-215 to SR 79 improving mobility and generating economic opportunities for locals.

The upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 25 will star Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington, Supervisor Karen Spiegel, Mayor Bill Zimmerman of Menifee, and other officials,  as stated by the media advisory. The event underlines the county's strategic planning and collaboration efforts to upgrade transportation infrastructure.

Including the construction of two large water management structures and two stormwater detention basins, the Clinton Keith Road extension project underscores the region's commitment to eco-friendly development.
