Yesterday evening, a woman lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a bus stop enclosure in Rochester, New Hampshire, and causing injury to a man inside. Twenty-two-year-old Elizabeth Laroche veered off track around 8 p.m. on Wakefield Street, near the Rochester Community Center and a McDonald's restaurant, and subsequently crashed into the bus stop, according to NBC Boston. The man within the enclosure, 66-year-old Timothy Umling, suffered minor injuries from the crash.

Rochester police arrived on scene shortly afterwards, finding extensive damage resulting from the collision. Besides the destruction of the enclosure, a nearby fence was damaged when the Jeep slammed into it, as reported by NECN. Both Laroche and Umling were taken to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment of their injuries.

Due to uncertainty surrounding the extent of Umling's injuries, a reconstruction team was called in as part of the investigation to accurately determine what actually happened. Laroche was later charged with driving under the influence, reckless operation, and use of electronic mobile devices while driving, and was released on bail with a court date set for November 30, per NBC Boston.
