San Diego's Public Health Services has launched a new mobile app, "Getting to Zero", targeted at enhancing access to vital HIV resources. The app, launched in partnership with 2-1-1 San Diego, aims to serve not only people living with or at risk for HIV but also organizations and professionals in HIV-related fields, according to the County News Center.

Those using "Getting to Zero" are able to efficiently locate service providers based on their location and specific needs, accessing information related to transportation and other critical resources. The app, offering multilingual support, aims to increase accessibility for San Diego residents.
Along with the mobile app, an available resource guide, titled "Getting to Zero Resource Guide", can be availed in both online and printed versions, in English and Spanish. This guide provides an in-depth view of various HIV resources, extending across such areas as food, housing, transportation, and resources for behavioral and emotional health.
"Getting to Zero" supports the objectives of a wider initiative of the same name, adopted by the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors in March 2016. The initiative strives to make HIV testing readily available and ensure access to treatment and supportive services, aiming to ultimately eradicate the HIV epidemic.
The County of San Diego is taking a significant step in combating the HIV epidemic by increasing access to HIV, STD, and hepatitis-related information via this user-friendly app. "Getting to Zero" provides individuals, organizations, and HIV service providers with the necessary tools to make informed decisions and connect with resources that meet their needs.
The app can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices through the Apple App Store and Google Play, respectively, providing real-time information and support to those most in need.
