In honor of International Artist Day, San Diego's WNDR Museum is waiving the regular $38 entry fee and welcoming visitors for free on October 25th. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exceptional combination of art, technology, and human interaction.
The Fox5 San Diego reports that the museum showcases over 20 interactive artworks by various innovative artists, collectives, technologists, and designers. The free-admission event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25th, and will accommodate walk-up visitors on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the availability of space.
To ensure entry, WNDR Museum's website suggests making a reservation, despite the absence of a ticketing fee for the event. Without a reservation, however, entry may not be guaranteed.
David Allen, WNDR Museum's creative director, stated enthusiastically, "We believe we're all artists at WNDR Museum, and to celebrate the creativity in each person by inviting guests into each of our locations free of charge on International Artist Day, we’re excited."
Visitors are for a multi-dimensional journey promised by the museum, wherein they interact with various installations, effectively becoming an extension of each creator. The time spent usually depends on the length of engagement with each installation, varying from one to approximately one and a half hours.
