A 13-year-old girl from Mountain View collided with two cars in the city, resulting in one injury. This incident began with the police observing two drivers breaking several vehicle code violations, according to the San Francisco Standard. When the police tried to pull over one of the cars, both drivers zoomed off. Rather than engaging in a high-speed chase, the officers shared the cars' descriptions over the radio.
Soon, the young girl crashed the stolen Kia into two cars as she tried to escape law enforcement, per KTVU. The girl and another individual were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, with the girl later entrusted to a parent.
The San Francisco Police Officers Association states that the girl and an accomplice had previously stolen the Kia in order to spot cars to burglarize and steal.
