
Springfield Police apprehended 26-year-old Darrell Cowlan on October 20 in connection with a series of car break-ins in the Forest Park neighborhood. As reported by the Springfield Police Department, Cowlan was newly released from prison after multiple convictions on larceny, breaking and entering, and fraud charges.
Police investigators positively identified Cowlan as the suspect on October 18 after reviewing video footage from the scene of the car break-ins on Beaumont Street. Authorities swiftly apprehended him only two days after the initial crimes were committed.
At present, Darrell Cowlan is facing several charges including two counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle during nighttime for a felony, and larceny under $1200, according to the Springfield Police Department.
