Brian Lingard, a 60-year-old mentor for the Shrewsbury High School Robotics Team in Massachusetts, has been arrested and charged with possession and transportation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The U.S. Department of Justice reports that customs officers discovered CSAM on Lingard's phone, during a screening upon his return from Paris to Boston yesterday.

Further searches allegedly revealed additional CSAM at his residence. Metadata suggests that images of fully clothed minors, taken at Shrewsbury High School without consent, were among those found.

Lingard could face penalties of 5-20 years in prison, lifelong supervised release, and significant fines.
