As per NBC Boston, the sinkhole forced the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to close a lane for many hours during its effort to repair an issue fast emerging.
The sinkhole was first noted by MassDOT at approximately 1:30 p.m., and as WHDH described, repair works lasted several hours, disrupting local residents and backed up traffic.
Turn To 10 reported the hole was finally sealed and lanes reopened by 8:20 p.m.
