Yesterday, a 14-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound at the hands of an unidentified assailant around 4:50 p.m., as reported by the 4th District of the Chicago Police Department.
After being discovered with a gunshot wound to the thigh, the teenager was transported immediately to Comer Children's Hospital, where his condition was initially reported as stable.
There are no suspects currently in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
