On the South Side of Chicago, a heated altercation led to a shooting earlier today.
As per the Chicago Police Department, a 52-year-old woman exchanged harsh words with a 44-year-old man, culminating in the woman shooting him with a handgun.
After sustaining a gunshot wound to his left hip, the man was transported to the University of Chicago hospital, being reported to be in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, the shooter was apprehended by local law enforcement, and a handgun was discovered at the incident location.
The investigation of this case is currently helmed by Area One detectives.
