At Red Rock Plaza in Southampton, several individuals required hospital care after exposure to carbon monoxide earlier today, as reported by the Southampton Fire Department. The incident happened during morning hours when what was believed to be epoxy fumes was actually carbon monoxide, emanating from a propane-powered sander.

Workers were epoxying a vacant store's floor at that time, and began to feel ill due to the exposure. Multiple ambulances from surrounding areas were dispatched to assist with the transportation of the affected individuals.

Out of six people stricken, three were transported to Baystate Medical Center, another to Cooley Dickinson in Northampton, whilst two declined treatment as stated in MassLive report. According acting Fire Chief Rich Fasoli, three individuals presented more serious symptoms, albeit, none were judged as life-threatening.
