
On October 23, Springfield police officers made a significant drug bust, arresting 23-year-old John Cruz. In the operation, they seized around 100 grams of crack-cocaine and more than $2,600 in cash, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Officers noticed Cruz near High and School intersection. With knowledge of his existing arrest warrants, they acted swiftly. Attempting to evade capture, Cruz discarded a plastic bag containing an estimated 90 grams of crack-cocaine.
After a short pursuit, he was apprehended. Both the bag and over $2,660 in cash were confiscated by the officers.
