On Saturday, October 21st, a dispute erupted at Springfield's Fun City Adventure Park. During the incident, a pregnant woman was reportedly hit in the face by 23-year-old Jose Cruz Jr., with information sourced from WWLP. Cruz currently faces multiple charges such as assault and battery on a pregnant woman, disorderly conduct, and assault and battery.
Upon arriving around 3:20 p.m., the Springfield Police discovered a large group of adults and teenagers engaged in an argument at the amusement park. Initial investigation suggests that the parties knew each other, as per Western Mass News. In addition to allegedly assaulting the woman, Cruz was also arrested for possession of a Class B drug, unlicensed operation of a car and, a motor vehicle lights violation.
While handling the situation, the authorities located another victim of assault at the scene. Those involved were instructed to leave, including Cruz and his relatives, according to reports from Daily Voice. Consequently, Cruz and a family member were banned from Fun City Adventure Park.
