On October 28th, Springfield Police arrested 18-year-old Josiah Martine for possession of a unlicensed, large-capacity firearm following a disturbance report as confirmed by Springfield Police Department.
In this particular incident, law enforcement witnessed Martine in pursuit of another vehicle. After the vehicle was stopped, the other occupants cooperated while Martine attempted to quickly leave the scene, but was apprehended after falling. He was found in possession of a large firearm he initially claimed to only be a BB gun.
Martine is now facing charges for carrying a loaded large-capacity firearm in public and owning a loaded firearm without a license according to the Springfield Police Department.
