Yesterday morning, Springfield Police arrested 33-year-old Carlos Banks, who was carrying illegal firearms on Buckler Street as reported by the Springfield Police Department.
The officers were initially responding to a report about a man flashing a gun near White Street got. They found Banks with a loaded firearm and struggled to disarm him due to resistance.
Upon arresting Banks, they found a second firearm in his vehicle, one stolen from Springfield, and the second was a loaded high-capacity firearm. Banks now faces multiple charges, including unauthorized possession of loaded firearms and receiving stolen property, among others.
