A resident of Marshall Street in Tewksbury, Massachusetts discovered a dead raccoon on her car windshield on Wednesday, October 11th. Investigators from the Tewksbury Police Department suggest that the raccoon's carcass was intentionally placed by an unknown individual around midnight.
Upon reviewing the residential surveillance footage, police identified an individual wearing light blue jeans and a black watch cap - with two strings hanging down from each side - carrying the carcass in a black plastic bag. Though events of such nature are an anomaly, they showcase a disconcerting overlap between vandalism, trespassing, and disregard to animal rights.
The Tewksbury Police Department's ongoing investigation is now requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. Residents are therefore urged to stay alert and to provide any relevant information to help the investigation at 978-640-4385.
