A recent traffic collision in Carlsbad took the life of a 25-year-old Kentucky motorcyclist on October 28. The motorcyclist was operating a Kawasaki and collided with the rear end of a Chevy SUV. The identity of the deceased is yet to be disclosed as officials are in the process of notifying his next of kin, per the City of Carlsbad Police Department.
Eyewitnesses stated that the motorcyclist was driving at high velocity at the time of the accident. The 28-year-old SUV driver, a resident of Oceanside, complied with investigators and stayed at the scene. Although the investigation is still ongoing, neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a contributory factor in this accident.
