A 23-year-old woman met her untimely end in a fatal collision in South Boston on Saturday, October 7. The horrific scene unfolded on South Boston Bypass Road as her 2023 Chrysler Pacifica veered onto the opposite lane and a crashed into a flatbed tow truck.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, the young driver seems to have crossed the double yellow lines, striking the tow truck, handled by a 65-year-old man from Rowley. The truck driver sustained only minor injuries which were treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.
State Troopers quickly tried to extricate the woman from the wreckage before she succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced dead by the Boston Medical Center.
