On October 11, at a business located on Admiral Callaghan Lane's 900 block, three males allegedly stole $1,000 worth of liquor. The Vallejo Police Department confirmed this event via a Facebook post, specifying that the perpetrators evaded capture and drove a Ford Flex.
On October 14, a detection of the suspects' vehicle initiated a pursuit. The driver surrendered in Crockett and a firearm was found inside the car.
It was revealed that the captured individual, a convicted felon, was prohibited from owning a weapon. The suspect wasn’t the registered firearm owner, and the method of the firearm’s acquisition remains unknown. The felon now faces several charges, according to a Twitter post by KTVU reporter Henry K. Lee.
Capture of Tavani Cole, a 36-year-old felon involved in the above incident, exemplifies the need to confront recidivism’s root causes to decrease its prevalence in society.
