On October 10th, 2023, a shoplifting incident occurred in West Springfield. As a result, the local police department is requesting the public's assistance in identifying a female suspect. Via an official Facebook announcement, the department revealed that the woman was spotted leaving in an aging Chevy Impala without license plates. The vehicle had been idling in the fire lane close to the store's exit.
