The community of Worcester, Massachusetts, has seen a spike in possible abduction attempts. In two separate incidents earlier this week, an unidentified white SUV, believed to be a BMW, was involved. The Worcester police, having been alerted, are investigating and have asked residents to stay vigilant.

In an incident recorded on a Facebook post by Worcester Police Department, a reported encounter occurred at Greenbriar Lane around 4:50 AM, involving a female pedestrian. She was approached by the SUV, and a male occupant demanded she get in the car. But, she was quick to evade the situation, taking refuge in a nearby yard.

Following the first incident, the same vehicle was seen on Winifred Ave with two males onboard. They approached a male pedestrian, demanding money, and that he get into the SUV. As one of the suspects tried to grab the pedestrian, he was able to escape and hide in a backyard.

While Worcester police continue to seek the SUV, they have called upon local residents to provide any information that can help. They can do so anonymously via a text message to 274637 (TIPWPD + message) or through the police's web-based messaging system at worcesterma.gov/police.
