Last month, on September 30th, a confrontation at a McDonald's in Worcester led to the arrest of a security guard.
The Worcester Police Department revealed in a Facebook post, 78-year-old security guard, William Trotta noticed a Chevy Silverado driving aggressively on two separate occasions near a plaza at 638 Chandler Street. This prompted him to confront the driver personally.
On the evening of September 30th, Trotta observed the Silverado acting dangerously once again. After seeing the vehicle parked at a nearby McDonald's, he followed, parking his vehicle in a way that hindered the Silverado from leaving to curb the aggressive demeanor.
Trotta tapped on the window of the Silverado, the driver responded by purposely backing into Trotta's vehicle. Trotta retaliated by taking out his firearm and shot two shots at the fleeing Silverado. Upon arrival, the Worcester Police officers reviewed surveillance footage which corroborated Trotta's account. Trotta was subsequently arrested for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.
