A community alert was recently issued in response to a series of armed robberies in November in the 9th District (Deering), causing concern among local residents according to Chicago Police Department.
The alert describes the perpetrators as males, 12–25 years old, 5'05"–5'10" tall, weighing 130–160 pounds, and commonly wearing dark, orange, or pink hoodies with sweatpants. They've been seen driving a blue Kia, approaching victims with handguns as reported by Chicago Police Department.
The robberies occurred on the 200 and 400 blocks of W. 31st St. and W. 28st Pl. on November 3, 2023, and on the 300 and 400 blocks of W. 24th St. and W. 24th Pl. on November 8, 2023, predominantly in late hours.
