Featured on Easy Creole's Facebook page, an update from the owners stated the agreed upon purchasing party had failed to follow through, potentially leaving the restaurant shuttered indefinitely. The owners' regret was evident in their statement: "Sorry to let you all know that Easy Creole might stay closed."

The owners made a public plea for their patrons' support, urging the community to pressure the new parties to complete their purchase for it to quickly reopen for everyone's enjoyment. The owners communicated their message: "If you want more Easy, demand the new folks finish purchasing it and open it up for you to enjoy."
