Chaos erupted on the streets of Long Beach when a man was stabbed during a brawl on Monday evening, leaving residents shaken. The violence broke out on the 2000 block of Long Beach Boulevard, and the Long Beach Police Department was swift to respond to reports of the altercation at approximately 5:34 p.m., as per the City of Long Beach report.
The victim, described only as a male adult, sustained a non-life-threatening wound to his upper body in an apparent dispute turned savage. Paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital, where he's currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries. The initial findings of the investigation, as told by the LBPD, indicate that the conflict involved the victim and an unknown male and female duo who remain at large. After the male suspect reportedly plunged a blade into the victim, the pair fled the crime scene, disappearing into the city's underbelly before law enforcement arrived.
The LBPD is calling on the public to come forward with any information that might lead to the capture and arrest of the suspects. It's a plea for justice, for the closing of wounds both physical and communal.
Details are scarce as the suspects vanished like phantoms, leaving investigators piecing together scant evidence in hopes of reconstructing the events that led to the stabbing. "The suspects fled the scene prior to officers' arrival," the LBPD's blotter notes.
Those with any knowledge about the incident or the individuals involved are urged to contact the Long Beach Police Department.
