Thieves made off with nearly 140 holiday packages in a brazen burglary from a Roxbury apartment building. According to a WHDH report, residents of the upscale apartment on St. Alphonses Street were stunned upon finding the mailroom pillaged, sparking an investigation that revealed a most foul theft.
The building's concierge, after a review of the distressing surveillance footage, spotted a man skillfully breaching the mailroom with the aid of a digital control panel. His actions were quickly followed by a trio of accomplices who joined in the pilferage, making off with the goods over several hours, as WHDH detailed in their coverage, painting a scene of a meticulously planned heist that would distress any awaiting the arrival of their goods. Boston police are urging anyone who's had a package vanish to get in touch.
