On November 2, the U.S. Attorney's Office of Massachusetts reported the arrest of Malcolm Desir and Cordell Miller. These men are being investigated for conspiracies to traffic cocaine and illegal firearms in the Boston area.

Desir, 32, from Brockton, and Miller, 27, from Haverhill, each face one count of drug distribution, a related conspiracy charge, and two firearm charges. The investigation revealed that Miller was trafficking firearms and ammunition in the Boston area. During a controlled purchase, a cooperating witness purchased several firearms from Miller, who also sought to sell cocaine supplied by Desir.

Desir himself allegedly sold a firearm he had previously purchased from Miller. It's also alleged that Miller arranged the sale of four firearms, including two untraceable ghost guns, to the cooperating witness from a primary source.

If found guilty, Desir and Miller could face up to 20 years in prison each for their drug-related charges. Their firearm charges might bring an additional 15 years each. Additional fines and supervised release may be imposed, however, all charges remain allegations until proven in a court of law.
