The Boston Police Drug Unit arrested 25-year-old Angel A. Carmona of Dorchester on drug trafficking charges, with aid from District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit, District C-11 (Dorchester) DCU, and the DEA Task Force. As noted by the Boston Police Department, the arrest resulted from a traffic stop revealing Carmona's driving on a suspended license. Search warrant execution thereafter uncovered a substantial amount of drugs, money, and suspected stolen high-valued jewelry.
A detailed investigation revealed six plastic bags of crack cocaine and one large bag of fentanyl, weighing respectively 11 grams and 31 grams across the process. Enforcement officials also seized $8,590 in US currency and jewelry. The combined offenses—possession of substantial amounts of drugs, a suspended driving license, and potential stolen goods—indicate the various layers of criminal behavior a single person or organization can encapsulate.
Following the arrest of Angel A. Carmona, a small but significant victory for law enforcement's relentless efforts fighting drug proliferation is achieved. Carmona will now face charges including trafficking of Class A and Fentanyl, intent to distribute Class B, and operation of a vehicle without a license as reported by the Boston Police Department. He is due for arraignment at the Roxbury District Court.
