Yesterday, an elderly man was assaulted at the Forest Hills MBTA Station. The assailant, a 15-year-old girl from Boston, was arrested and charged in West Roxbury Juvenile Court. The court ordered for the teen to be held for 60 days, with conditions, according to the Suffolk District Attorney.
According to witnesses, the young girl purposely assaulted the 84-year-old man, causing him to fall and incur a forehead injury. These events were promptly attended to by three MBTA patrons who happened to be two doctors and a medical student. The victim was immediately taken to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
The judge set bail at $500 for the new charge and an extra $500 for a pre-existing unarmed robbery charge. The judge also revoked the previous bail for a period of 60 days. Additionally, the judge issued orders for the juvenile to maintain distance from the victim, avoid Forest Hills station, and comply with GPS monitoring. The juvenile will return to court December 4 for a probable cause hearing, as per the Suffolk District Attorney.
