Yesterday, Hayward Street in Braintree was disrupted by the cacophony of a road accident. A sedan deviating from its lane ended up in a near-head-on collision with a pickup truck. The accident resulted in only minor injuries for the occupants of both vehicles, which included three adults and a child as reported on the Braintree Police Department's Facebook page.
The Bradford Police Department and Braintree Fire Department swung into brisk action upon receiving news of the accident just before 7:00 p.m. Brewster Ambulance Service transported the victims on time to the nearby hospital for injury evaluation.
The resulting chaos from the collision led to a shutdown of Hayward Street between Commercial Street and Howard Street for an hour.
