The wife, at first dubious about the lottery ticket purchases, was quickly won over by the massive win. Discussing their newly-acquired fortune, the man mentioned he plans to start a college fund for their children.

The station that sold the million-dollar ticket did receive, earning a $10,000 bonus. The Phillip 66 at 102 S. Lincoln Street in Philo was awarded this due to their part in the win, as per WGN-TV. Furthermore, the Illinois Lottery has handed out over 55 million instant tickets and above $1.2 billion in prizes to players this year.
