Comedy legends Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, globally recognized as Cheech & Chong, have rebranded three marijuana dispensaries in Massachusetts. They kicked off the grand opening of their dispensaries last Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Whately as referenced in a MassLive report.

The newly rebranded dispensaries, formerly overseen by Happy Feelings, bear the name Cheech & Chong's Dispensoria. With locations in Whately, Northampton, and Greenfield, these dispensaries will carry Cheech & Chong's own cannabis products, aiming to give customers an experience influenced by the duo's signature comedic world, WWLP reports.

Cheech & Chong, while famous for their 1978 film "Up in Smoke" and other stoner comedies, their involvement in the cannabis industry spreads beyond Massachusetts. The comedic pair has established dispensaries in an excess of states across the country, including California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Michigan, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

These dispensaries boast a lounge area, stage, and art capturing the essence of the comedians. A spokesperson for Cheech & Chong's Global Holding Company affirmed that this initiative aims to support local businesses and the overall cannabis community as mentioned by WWLP.

In addition to their cannabis ventures, Cheech & Chong have also made efforts in the beverage industry with their recent launch of a non-alcoholic hemp THC seltzer titled "High & Dry." The drink product, released through a partnership with Atlantic Beverage Distributors, is meant to provide easier access into the cannabis market, with Tommy Chong underlining their goal to serve the community according to WWLP.

The vast scope of Marin and Chong's talent goes far beyond their comedy acts, known primarily for their stoner antics. Besides their popularity in the 70s and 80s, both comedians have made substantial contributions to the arts and entertainment world, as MassLive points out.

Tommy Chong, for example, gained fame for his "Leo" role in the hit show "That 70s Show." Cheech Marin has played a part in several films and tv projects including works by Robert Rodriguez such as "Desperado," "Spy Kids," and "Machete," as stated by MassLive. Marin displayed his dedication to the arts when he founded the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture & Industry in Riverside, California, in 2022.

In branching out to the cannabis market and perpetuating their involvement in arts and philanthropy, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong continue to expand the span of their careers.
