Following an incident earlier this week, 25-year-old Taj Newson now faces charges of vehicular hijacking, drug possession, and driving on a revoked license.
His arrest happened concurrently with the hijacking night, and his detention hearing is set to take place today, November 17 as per Chicago Police Department report.
Newson reportedly forced a vehicle from a 32-year-old male in the 4200 block of N. Pulaski (17th District). Upon his arrest, police also found suspected narcotics, augmenting his charges.
