The winning ticket was purchased from Harlem Food & Liquors in Harwood Heights. The store is owned by Kaushik Patel, who knew Mr. M as a regular customer, and remarked on his win, "It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy,” as per NBC Chicago report. This incident is the second big lottery win at Patel's store, following a $1 million Lotto ticket sold in September 2022.
Riding on the roller-coaster of luck, Mr. M's story points to the transformative power of a chance win.
