
Today, November 19, a traffic collision on Chicago's Southwest Side left a police officer, a minor, and a woman injured. Around 3:30 a.m., the woman's car veered into opposing traffic on the 2000 block of West 47th Street, striking an officer's vehicle, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The officer sustained a broken hip in the crash and was quickly transported to the Stroger Hospital in stable condition, according to ABC 7 Chicago. The woman and child, were also admitted to Stroger Hospital, with the former nursing a broken wrist and the latter under observation.
The driver who collided with the police vehicle has been arrested and faces potential charges, as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times. The specific charges, however, remains obscured at this time.
