The Chicago Police Department (CPD) recently issued a community alert regarding a series of commercial burglaries in the 6th (Gresham) and 11th (Harrison) Districts.
These incidents took place last Friday and on Sunday, with unidentified offenders using pry tools to break into establishments, disrupt power, and damage phone lines. Following these break-ins, the perpetrators pilfered safes and absconded with undisclosed amounts of money.
The CPD advises the community to maintain awareness of these crimes, inform nearby businesses, and report suspicious activities or individuals to the authorities. Additionally, individuals are advised to check the functionality of their surveillance equipment.
