On November 1, 2023, the Chicago Police Department issued a community alert concerning a wave of armed robberies, carried out in the 010th, 015th, and 025th Districts, on October 28th.
The suspects, reportedly multiple African American males in black clothing and masks, used stolen or hijacked vehicles to target their victims.
These criminals brandished handguns, demanded victims' possessions, and in some cases caused physical harm.
