A winning scratch-off lottery ticket worth $2 million was recently sold at a Bucktown gas station in Chicago, making this the second time the gas station has had a winning ticket. Prakash Raval, owner of the BP station on 2357 W. Fullerton Ave., hopes a regular customer holds the winning ticket according to NBC Chicago reports.
The winning ticket, part of the "Stacks of Cash" series of scratch-off Instant Lottery tickets by the Illinois Lottery, adds to the increasing number of jackpot winners in Chicago. This phenomenon has sparked intrigue and curiosity among residents about the unpredictable nature of these lotteries.
This isn't the first time a winning ticket has been sold at Raval's gas station. In 2017, a "$250,000 25X Payout" scratch-off ticket was sold there to a first-time lottery participant as reported by NBC Chicago reports.
In addition to the Bucktown gas station, a suburban liquor store in Carpentersville recently sold a $3 million scratch-off ticket.
