On November 5, Chicago was hit with two separate incidents of gun violence within an hour. The Chicago Police Department reports that at around 9:03 p.m., a 36-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder while strolling on the 2200 block of S. Oakley street. The suspect, an unknown individual in a black sedan, remains at large. Area Four detectives are on the case.

On the same evening, happening about 41 minutes after the first incident, another shooting occurred on the 5100 block of S. Wood. This incident involved a 46-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man who were shot by an unidentified individual in a black SUV. The woman was shot in the leg and was brought to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.

The man declined medical attention for his graze wound to the right leg. The CPD reported that Area One detectives are investigating, with no current arrests.
