Chicago is witnessing an unusually warm November week, with temperatures hitting the 70-degree mark today, reported NBC Chicago. This condition is a break from the chillier weather Chicagoans usually face during this period.
Well above normal temps near/around 70° and gusty southwest winds today. Cooler Tuesday, but still seasonably mild south. Scattered showers Wednesday then cooling back to near to slightly below normal to close out the work week. #ILwx #INwx pic.twitter.com/3LfnYmYBM7

Despite the presence of isolated showers in the northern parts of the city, the day is expected to be fairly dry in most areas. NBC 5 Meteorologist Alicia Roman predicts the sun to emerge by the afternoon, urging residents to enjoy this unusually warm weather. With highs ranging between mid-60s and low 70s, the weather is a stark contrast from the typical November experience.
Associated with this mild weather are gusty winds, with speeds fluctuating between 20 and 25 miles per hour. NWS Chicago expects wind speeds to hit 43 miles per hour by mid-morning, before slowly dying down in the afternoon. However, a mild breeze is expected to persist.
These warmer conditions appear to be temporary, with temperatures likely dropping on Tuesday, while staying moderately warm in the south, as per an NBC Chicago report. Additionally, scattered showers are in the forecast for Wednesday, leading to a cooler trend for the weekend.
