
Officer Nicholas Kehoss of the Naugatuck Police Department in Connecticut has been charged with third-degree assault and cruelty after arresting Jarell Day, a 23-year-old accused of stealing $200 worth of beer from a local grocery store.
The arrest on October 14, involved Kehoss deploying his taser on the suspect three times, despite the suspect appearing to submit to the arresting officer's commands, notes WWLP.
According to the AP, the surveillance video shows Kehoss tasing Day even after the first deployment had incapacitated him
